This class is offered in Lincoln Nebraska and has been developed around the principles found in my book, "Cover Your Nut" - Practical Accounting in Plain English for the Real World.  

My goal is to bring out the basic principles for the new small business owner needing a better handle on the basic recording of accounting (bookkeeping) entries, and the positive results when a system is employed around practical lines.  Individuals attending the class will walk away with skills in reading the information supplied through the financial statements.

Practical accounting presented during major portion of the class will give you the accounting basics toward a better understanding of both accounting systems and financial statements.  Followed by Practical QuickBooks, which will give participants the basics necessary to set up your accounting information for an easier QuickBooks start-up.  A required book (“Cover Your Nut”) is available at the SCC Bookstore.
