STRAIT OF GIBRALTAR (Jan. 26, 2011) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Barry (DDG 52) transits the Strait of Gibraltar. Barry is deployed as part of the Enterprise Carrier Strike Group in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility.
I was in the Strait of Gibraltar aboard the USS Valley Forge CV45 in 1955

The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) leads the Royal Malaysian Navy frigate KD Lekir (FF 26) and corvette KD Kelantan (FFL 175) and the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Bunker Hill (CG 52).
The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) leads the Royal Malaysian Navy frigate KD Lekir (FF 26) during a passing exercise.
This las picture is a good example of the size of our modern aircraft carriers - the Royal Malaysian Navy frigate looks like a toy.
Again, I hope you have enjoyed this display of ships and planes of my favorite - the US Navy.
